  Robbery on University St.
 
 
  On January 28, 2007 at approximately 8pm, a female victim was approached in the 900 block of S. University in Normal by the suspect pictured. He demanded her wallet, obtained it from her, and fled the area on foot. The suspect is described as a white male approximately 21 years of age, approximately 5'11" and weighing 170 pounds. The suspect was described as wearing black pants, black shirt, and a black stocking cap.   Motorcycle Battery
 
 
  On September 16, 2006 at approximately 9:00 p.m., a battery occurred in Normal. The victim was driving on Emerson Street in Bloomington when he observed 4 motorcycles driving erratically in the same direction. According to the victim, the motorcycles were in front of him when they slowed abruptly. As the victim drove next to the motorcycles, he swerved toward the motorcycles, which appeared to anger them. The motorcyclists followed the victim to the area of Garden and Linda Lane in Normal where the victim stopped and exited his vehicle. The victim was approached by one of the males in the group and was struck in the right side of the face. The suspects are described as college-age males riding sport-style motorcycles.   Criminal Damage
 
 
  Between Thursday, October 26, 2006 and Saturday, October 29, 2006 there were approximately 40 incidents of criminal damage to vehicles parked on the street or in driveways in the area south of I-55 to Vernon and east of the Constitution Trail. On Thursday, the majority of the incidents involved the slashing of tires and the subsequent nights were mainly pumpkins and bottles being used to damage vehicles. The cost of the damage from these occurrences is estimated to be $10,500. Witnesses saw a small, white pickup truck, either a Mazda or Ford Ranger, with a juvenile male in the back throwing items.   Aggravated Battery
 
 
  The Normal Police Department is currently investigating an altercation that took place at or around 2:35 am on April 30, 2006. The altercation took place in the area of 710 Kingsley, near the street. During this fight, the victim received multiple lacerations.   Theft Over $300

  Daycare Theft
 
 
  The LeRoy Police Department is asking for the public's help in solving a felony theft that occurred at Noah's Ark Daycare Center, located inside the United Methodist Church, 210 N. Chestnut St., in LeRoy. Between Friday, January 6, 2006 and Tuesday, January 10, 2006, unknown person(s) stole an undisclosed amount of cash from an office area in the daycare center. The cash had been raised by the children of the daycare through various fund raising activities for new classroom equipment and supplies.   Downs area crimes
 
 
  Since September 1, 2005, there have been approximately 35 incidents, reported and unreported, of burglary, theft, and criminal damage to property in the Downs area. There have been approximately 25 mailboxes damaged, with some damage occurring repeatedly. During the week of Halloween, several residents reported unknown person(s) used blue spray paint on personal items such as fences, driveways, sidewalks and cars. In mid-November, 3 different cars received damage that included breaking off the rearview mirrors.   Cars Damaged by Burning Leaves
 
 
  Seven cars have been substantially damaged by suspects setting fire to piles of leaves either under or near cars since 11/12/05. Police and fire investigators are looking into a possible connection with at least three other fires that did not involve damage to cars. These ten fires occurred on East Walnut, East Chestnut, East Mulberry, East Jackson, North Mason, and West Front Streets in Bloomington.   I.R.S. Scam
 
 
  The Internal Revenue Service has issued a consumer alert about an Internal scam in which consumers receive an e-mail informing them of a tax refund. The e-mail, which claims to be from the IRS, directs the consumer to a link that requests personal information, such as Social Security number and credit card information. This scheme is an attempt to trick the e-mail recipients into disclosing their personal and financial data. The practice is called “phishing taxpayers”. The information fraudulently obtained is then used to steal the taxpayer’s identity and financial assets. Generally, identity thieves use someone’s personal data to steal his or her financial accounts, run up charges on the victim’s existing credit cards, apply for new loans, credit cards, services or benefits in the victim’s name and even file fraudulent tax returns.   Commerce Bank Burglary
 
 
  In the early morning hours of 9-15-05, the subject in these picture(s)broke a window of the Commerce Bank located in Normal, IL. The subject then entered the facility and took an undisclosed amount of currency.   Arson
 
 
  On 7-9-05, at approximately midnight, the Normal Fire and Police Departmnets responded to a structure fire at 1904 Lambert Drive.   Construction Burglaries

  Jewel-Osco Burglary
 
 
  Between the hours of 11:30 p.m. on June 3, 2005 and 6:00 a.m. on June 4, 2005, unknown person(s) entered through the rear fire door of Jewel-Osco, located at 901 S. Cottage Dr, Normal. Once inside the store, the suspect(s) went to an office area and disconnected the security cameras. Suspect(s) subsequently removed approximately $2400.00 in merchandise, mostly alcohol, tobacco products, and some electronic items.   Robbery at National City Bank
 
 
  On January 11, 2005 a bank robbery occurred at the National City Bank on West Market Street in Bloomington. A woman handed the teller a note which demanded money. The woman was described as a light-skinned female, approximately 5’5” tall. The woman had a large bruise on her cheek, under the left eye.   Amtrak Vandalism
 
 
  At approximately 8:30 pm on June 22, 2005, an Amtrack train was traveling south bound through Bloomington in the area of 6 Points Road and Miller Street. The engineer observed three subjects standing by the tracks. One of the subjects threw an item directly at the windshield of the train.
